Outstanding meal worthy of the michelin guide. Massimo Bottura's resturaunt is just around the corner, but you'll be missing out if you don't visit this resturaunt as well. Food and service are 5 stars. Highly recommend "The Nido," their signature fried pasta. We will be back every chance we get.

Cozy welcoming service with a relaxed conversation yet observant. Food was excellent! The scallops starter and the primero tortelloni with ricotta and spinach was the best food in Italy during the last week.

Decent food, some weird plate like fried pasta or the squid calamari pasta which was totally bland and not tasty. Very poor service and totally forgot or missed our orders. Took 2 hours before the first dish was out on our table. Apology was given, but already created a very unpleasant meals experience for 5 adults and 2 toddlers.

Had a lovely dinner here. Food is amazing! The whole menu is incredible. Modena is absolutely a town for foodies. Also, owner is super friendly.

Exceptional cuisine worthy of a Michelin star. I dined last evening. Aug 2, 2022. Four courses. All four were perfectly prepared. I’ve traveled the world and dined at numerous Michelin starred restaurants so I’m familiar with ultra fine cuisine. Zelmira is certain to make you happy. I’m returning today — and probably tomorrow as well — to sample other dishes.

We had an experience that we felt was not favorable. The outdoor patio was exceptional, except for the children running around and screaming. Please understand, I love watching children play, but not while I am trying to enjoy my dinner at 8:00 at night. The food was just OK. I have had many more dinners that were better prepared. The service was slow. It was difficult to get the attention of the wait staff. I was very disappointed since the rating were so high. Response to owner: The children were running on the grassy area next to the tables that were outside. We were at the furthest table from the building. We were there several weeks ago...and yes....it was Zelmira in Modena...and yes, I have a very good memory and a receipt!

The food was okay but very high priced. The location had a charming ambiance, but it was uncomfortably hot with no breeze, trapping heat in the square. The staff was friendly, but the service was slow, and they appeared overwhelmed and disorganized. I would rather consider other places to eat in Modena!

The food had the feel of leftovers. The fried spaghetti ragu was the exception. Duck was dry and tough, with a thin cherry sauce that included refrigerated cherries. The shrimp risotto had to made earlier in the day- salty, gooey no shrimp flavor at all, The wine ( by the glass) always came late to each course. It was not a good experience on any level.
